MooHerd (“the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.
Information You Enter
MooHerd is designed to help you manage your cattle records. The App may store information that you voluntarily enter, including:
- Animal names and identifiers
- Health records
- Vaccination records
- Treatment history
- Weight records
- Notes
- Photos you choose to attach to animals
- Reminder dates
This cattle-management information is stored locally on your device. MooHerd does not transmit animal names, animal identifiers, health records, vaccination records, treatment history, notes, attached photos, or journal contents to our analytics servers.
Local Storage
Your cattle records are stored locally on your device. MooHerd does not provide cloud storage or synchronization of these records through our servers.
Analytics
MooHerd collects limited usage information to help us understand how the App is used and improve its features.
This analytics information may include:
- Interactions with certain App features
- Event timestamps
- App version
- Operating system version
- Device platform
- App environment
- Limited feature metadata, such as herd type
- A random installation identifier assigned by our analytics server
The installation identifier is randomly generated by our backend for the App installation. MooHerd does not collect Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), UDID, device serial number, Apple ID, name, email address, or other account identifier through its analytics system.
Analytics information is used only for analytics and product improvement. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking and is not linked by us to your identity.
MooHerd does not send animal names, animal identifiers, journal contents, notes, photos, health records, vaccination records, or treatment records through its analytics service.
Photos
If you choose to attach photos to an animal, the App may request permission to access your photo library. Photos selected for cattle records are used only within the App and are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted through our analytics service.
Notifications
If enabled, MooHerd uses local notifications to remind you about vaccinations, treatments, and scheduled health events. These notifications are generated on your device.
Purchases
Premium features are offered through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Payments are processed by Apple.
MooHerd does not receive or store your payment card information or Apple ID credentials.
Third-Party Services
MooHerd uses Apple services for features such as In-App Purchases and local notifications.
MooHerd also uses IndiePulse, our analytics service, to process the limited usage information described in the Analytics section above.
No advertising SDKs are included, and analytics information is not sold or used for advertising tracking.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Limited analytics information described above is transmitted to infrastructure used to operate the IndiePulse analytics service. We use this information to operate, understand, and improve MooHerd.
Data Security
Cattle-management records remain locally stored on your device. Limited analytics information is transmitted to and processed by the IndiePulse analytics service as described above.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and keeping appropriate backups of locally stored cattle records if desired.
Children’s Privacy
MooHerd is intended for livestock management and is not directed toward children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above.
